Wanda Sue (Caperton) Oliver

Mrs., Wanda Sue Caperton Henson Oliver was born October 01, 1943 to the late Mr. Noah Coolidge Caperton and Mrs. Elizabeth Immogene Hunt Caperton in Iron City, TN in Wayne County. She attended school and grew from adolescence to adulthood in the Wayne County area, admiring the beauty God has created. From an early age she learned the trade of sewing garments both at home and professionally, as she worked for several years at Angelica Manufacturing in Collinwood.  Later in her adult life, she would meet and marry her husband Mr. Johnny Ray Oliver and the two would remain married until his passing on December 18, 2018. Throughout her life, she raised her children, attended church and loved working and caring for her family, sewing garments and preparing meals. Apart from her family, her God was always closest to her heart as she was a member of the West Point Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she could be found caring for and loving her pets. Mrs. Oliver will be remembered as a hardworking, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend. Mrs. Wanda Sue Caperton Henson Oliver passed from this life on July 27, 2025 at her home in West Point, TN making her stay on this earth some 81 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Those left to honor her memory include her son Chris Henson; daughter Susie Daniel both of West Point, TN; siblings Janie Pietras of Loretto, TN, Faye Nelson husband Don of West Point, TN; Judy Nelson of Loretto, TN, Ellen Hand husband Tommy of Lawrenceburg, TN, Margaret Benefield husband Mike of Summertown, TN, Ivy Long of St. Joesph, TN, Timmy Caperton wife Pam, Deborah Jones, Priscilla Price husband Myron all of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren Jarrod Creasy, Andrew Creasy and Crystal Rich; great- grandchildren Jayden Creasy, Addyson Creasy, Kaitlyn Rich, Addison Rich, Ansli Creasy, Jaxon Creasy, Ryder Johnson, Zepplin Creasy and Jagger Buie.
 

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her daughter Marilyn Creasy and son-in-law Timothy Creasy.

Memorial Services will be held August 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the West Point Baptist Church with Jerry McClain officiating.
