Thomas Staggs Obituary

Thomas Christopher “Chris” Staggs was born in Waynesboro TN, on July 30,1970 to his parents the late Thomas Junior Staggs and Shirley Jo Clayton Staggs. Chris would spend his childhood in the Waynesboro area attending school and enjoying becoming acquainted with many of his fellow towns people many whom would become friends. As a child and young adult, his parents carried their children to the Green River Baptist Church as he would attend there most of his life. In his leisure time he enjoyed listening to country music especially legendary artists such as Lorretta Lynn and Patsy Cline. He also loved watching movies and searching YouTube for the latest entertaining video. As much as he loved his home town, spending time with his family and friends as well as the people he encountered, he also cherished moments he spent at his home, living his life peacefully and to himself. While in good health, Chris worked for Modine Manufacturing as well as several other companies in different positions through his adult years. Mr. Thomas Christopher Staggs passed peacefully from this life on March 14, 2025 at the Waynesboro Post Acute and Rehabilitation facility in Waynesboro, TN making his stay on this earth some 54 years, 8 months and 54 days.

He is survived by his siblings Teddy Clayton and wife Patricia of Waynesboro, TN Debbie Sherrill and husband Joe of Drayton, ND Tina Hudgins of Collinwood, Kim McCurry of Waynesboro, TN, TN Lisa Jones and husband Casey of Waynesboro, TN and Brandy King and husband Neal of Hohenwald, TN as well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted Saturday on April 5, 2025, at the Waynesboro Memorial Gardens at 1:00pm with Casey Jones officiating
