Thelma Sue (Layne) Terry

Mrs. Thelma Sue Layne Terry was born in Jasper, TN to her parents the late Mr. Phines Layne and Mrs. Grace Sykes Green on April 28, 1943. Later in her life Mrs. Thelma would meet and marry her husband  Mr. Johnny Terry on August 28, 1960 and the two would forever intertwine their hearts and lives together raising a family and growing deep familial roots. Mrs. Terry was of the Baptist faith and in her leisure, time could be found working puzzles and enjoying the beauties of nature. However, nothing compared to the moments she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Mrs. Thelma Sue Layne Terry passed from this life at her home in Waynesboro, TN on August 13, 2025 making her stay on this earth 82 years.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons Timothy Terry wife Treda and Michael Eugene Terry wife Tracy ; siblings Anna Hixon and George Green; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her step-dad Joe Green and siblings Lettie Guy, John Green and Caroline Green.
