Mr. Teddy Earl Dixon was born Tuesday, January 28, 1936 in Wayne County, TN to the late Grayson and Mary “Dolly” McCrory Dixon. He was united in marriage to the former Sue Morris on November 02, 1959. Mr. Dixon worked for Murray Ohio Manufacturing in Lawrenceburg and was a member of Shawnettee Church in Collinwood. In his younger years, he was a sports fan, liked to hunt and fish and loved to work in his yard. Mr. Dixon passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his home in Collinwood at the age of 87.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sue Morris Dixon; a son Boyce Dixon and wife Glenda; a son-in-law Jeff Montgomery all of Collinwood, TN; a sister Davalene Smith and husband Teddy of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers Roger Dixon and wife Anita and Keith Dixon and wife Bonnie both of Collinwood, TN; five grandchildren Amanda Daniels and husband Nick, Jacob Dixon and wife Liz, Kerri Price and husband Brent, Jessup Dixon and wife Kim, Kaleb Clark and wife McKaylin. Mr. Dixon is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Montgomery, brother Charles Dixon and sister NevaRae Calton.
Visitation with the Dixon family will be on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Shawnettee Church in Collinwood.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Shawnettee Church with Coy Hallmark officiating burial will follow in the Shawnettee Memorial Gardens.
Those Honored to serve as pallbearer will include Jacob Dixon, Jessup Dixon, Kaleb Clark, Nick Daniels, Brent Price, and Vernon Calton.
