Ms. Sonya Annette Skelton Rumbaugh was born September 07, 1967 in Lewis County, TN. She worked at Wayne County Bank for over 18 years in bookkeeping and as a bank teller at the court square branch. She especially loved her girls from the Court Square Branch. When her health allowed, she enjoyed going to Church and often attended Faith Church in Lawrenceburg. She loved spending as much time as she could with her kids and grandkids. Ms. Rumbaugh departed this life on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 making her stay in this life some 56 years, 10 months and 4 days.
Survivors include her daughter Heather Rumbaugh (Jason Brewer); son, Daniel Rumbaugh (Tiara) both of Waynesboro, TN; her biological mother, Wanda Hudson of Hohenwald, TN; her siblings, Melody Jackson (David) of Lawrenceburg, TN; Carol Brown (Llew) of Hohenwald, TN; Shaun Kelley of Waynesboro, TN; Jennifer Green of Lawrenceburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Jordan Rumbaugh, Everleigh Stone, Samuel Knox Rumbaugh, Kaebri Jewel Rumbaugh Brewer, Allie Brewer, Camden Brewer, Carter Brewer, and Landen Brewer; She is also surived by a special friend, Lynn Butler of Waynesboro, TN.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mack Skelton; her mother, Jewell Dean Devers Skelton; her biological father, Danny Kelley; step-father, Jimmy Hudson; two brothers, Stan Kelley, Daniel Kelley and one sister, Dana Purser.
Visitation with the Rumbaugh family will be on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Casey Jones and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Sonya Rumbaugh Memorial Fund at any Wayne County Bank Branch
