Shirley Rose (Szymanski) Bednarz

Ms. Shirley Rose Bednarz was born March 15, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Albert and Stella Ziomeck Szymanski. She spent her life as a homemaker, taking care of her children. Ms. Bednarz departed this life on June 20, 2023 at the age of 90.

She is survived by six children, Sharon Miller of Clarendon Hills, IL; Sandra Humann (Carl) of Channahon, IL; Kenneth Miller of Houston, TX; Gary Miller of Savannah, TN; Thomas Miller (Leo) of Savannah, TN; Robert Miller of Goodlettsville, TN; 2 step-sons, Martin Bednarz (Aimee) of Whitewater, MI; James Bednarz Jr. (Lori) of Rantoul, IL; one sister, Carol Iwema of Greencastle, IN; She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Miller, her second husband, Jim Bednarz, three daughters, Susan Ried, Shelia Catlin, Shelley Sloan, one son, William Miller, Jr., and her siblings, Al Stevens, Delores Treftz, Elaine Szymanski, Alvin Szymanski, and Harvey Szymanski.
