Mrs. Shelia Faye Shutt Zahn was born in Savannah, TN on April 04, 1953 to the union of her parent’s (father) Mr. John Charlie Shutt and (mother) Mrs. Lois Marie Pilkington Shutt. During her adolescent years, she would attend school in the Savannah, TN area, developing an appreciation for the outdoors, spending time in nature and appreciating the wondrous scenery that God has made. After high school, she attended Cosmetology School in Savannah and trained and attained her license to practice. A profession that would carry her to several different locations as she honed her craft in such locations such as New Hampshire and Pekin, ILL. For over 50 years her clients could depend on her professional, kind performance and never disappointing abilities. Throughout her adult life, she reveled in watching her family grow as also did the flowers she planted and nurtured, setting deep roots in both of love, faith and with a steady work ethic. Later during her retirement years, she would return to her hometown Savannah, TN where she attended worship, being of the Baptist faith, at the Sharon Baptist Church. Where she involved her time toward learning her church family and teaching anyone she encountered of her Lord and Savior. She also placed membership through several clubs throughout the years, The Cosmetology Association of Hardin County, the Moose Lodge and the Pekin Boat Club building cherished, lifelong friendships in any area she called home. As well as a hard-working cosmetologist and dedicated Christian, she was also a loving homemaker and doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she cherished no other time than the precious moments she spent with her family and friends. In her leisure time, she could be found exercising especially enjoying the long walks she took with her sister, going to the gym and collecting frog figurines. Also being a diehard Chicago Bears and Cub fan, she loved to watch her favorite teams play whenever they took the field. However, one would be remiss not to mention her “fur baby” “Kricket” the dog, who became her constant loving companion for more than 10 years. As we mourn the loss of a precious Christian, mother, grandmother and dear friend, those who knew her best will remember her as an outgoing, charismatic, loyal, strong-willed friend to all. Mrs. Shelia Faye Shutt Zahn passed from this life on November 27, 2025 in Savannah, TN surrounded by her family making her stay on this earth some 72 years and 7 months.
