Roy Lee Brewer

Mr. Roy Lee Brewer was born in Waynesboro, TN on January 24, 1942 to his father the late Mr. Johnny Samuel Brewer and mother Phaltion Prince Brewer. Mr. Brewer spent his childhood in Wayne County enjoying the outdoors as he loved fishing, hunting and making homemade knives. In his adult years he would marry Mrs. Mamie Selman Brewer on June 2, 1963 and the two would enjoy 61 years of matrimony until his passing. Roy worked as a laborer at Mueller Gas for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. Together with his wife, Mr. Brewer loved, provided for and raised his family in the Collinwood area.  Roy was loved by all; he loved spending time with his grandchildren of all ages making them all laugh with his jokes. Those who knew him best will remember his jovial, joking, loving manner with the presence of a man who lead a life well lived.  Mr. Roy Brewer passed from this life at the North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Al at the age of 83.

He is survived by his children Tina Heatherly and husband Billy of Toney, AL; Kerry Crader of Collinwood, TN; Jennifer James and husband Daniel of Collinwood, TN and Jerry Brewer and wife Mishell of Waynesboro, TN; siblings include his brother Johnny S. Brewer Jr. of Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren friends and loved ones

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Minnie Selman and father-in-law- Homer Selman, sisters Mary F. Huckaba, Margie N. Riley, Evelyn Warren, Lou Ann Dugger, Doris Gilliam, Lilly Brewer, Faye Brewer and Bonnie Brewer; bothers include Eddy Floyd Brewer, Lawrence Brewer, Harold Brewer, Billy Brewer, Ray Brewer and Johnny Brewer; son-in-law Jim Crader
