Michael Wayne "Stretch" Skelton

Michael Wayne Skelton was born December 23, 1958 in Wayne County, TN to the late Sam Houston and Emma Mae Mathis Skelton. He was united in marriage to the former Billie Luna on May 02, 2008. He was a man of many talents, spending most of his working career as a painter, welder, and mechanic, part of the time working on off-shore drilling rigs. He loved spending time in the outdoors, but perhaps most of all, he loved spending time with his beloved cat, Tinker. Mr. Skelton departed this life on May 25, 2026 in Waynesboro.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Luna Skelton; daughters, Candyce Jahnke (Brandt) of Rogersville, AL; Shaundra Brewer; one son, Shawn Skelton both of Paducah, KY; two brothers, Roy Skelton (Reba) of Waynesboro, TN; Marty Skelton (Kim) of Selmer, TN; brother in law James Ish Free; sister-in-law, Karol Skelton of Waynesboro, TN; he is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Skelton; grandson, Landon Brewer; granddaughter, Jaydee Swinea; one brother, Carl Skelton and one sister, Frances Skelton Free
