June Warren Obituary

Betty June Risner Warren was born February 18, 1939, in Collinwood, TN to the late Hobert Risner and Lurlean Risner Farris.  She was united in marriage to C. M. Warren, Jr. on May 28, 1956.  Mr. Warren preceded her in death on April 18, 2006.  “Mrs. June” owned the local Cloth Shop and spent many happy hours helping people with their sewing needs.  She will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, and excellent cook.  She was a member of the Wayne Furnace Church of Christ and loved attending this church and making fried pies for their fellowship meals.  Mrs. June departed this life at Boyd Cottages in Waynesboro on Saturday, March 2, 2024, making her stay in this life 85 years and 13 days.  The Boyd Cottage employees were like family to “June-bug” and “Marilyn Monroe” (loving nicknames they had for her), creating a warm and caring environment and a home away from home.

Those left behind to cherish her wonderful memory include her children, Lee Ann Warren Staggs (Jeff) of Savannah, TN and Lynn Warren (Heather) of Waynesboro, TN; her siblings, Fonda Corn (Sonny) of Waynesboro, TN and Pat Beckham (John) of Tullahoma, TN; three beloved grandchildren, Abbie Love (Chad), Eric Staggs, and Jaylee Warren; three great-grandchildren that made her smile, Lincoln, Lanna and Andie Love and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Risner,
Fred Lowell Risner, and one sister, Gail Berry.

Visitation with the Warren family will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM until the service time of 5:00 PM, all at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.

Memorial service will begin at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ with Cary Crews officiating.  There will be no burial as the loving, caring “Mrs. June” donated her whole body to the Vanderbilt Anatomical Donation Program to advance anatomic education and clinical training of medical personnel.

The family lovingly requests that in lieu of gifts or flowers, donations be made in “Mrs. June’s Memory” to the Butterfly Foundation: Ryleigh Remembered, the Janet J. Smith Foundation, or the Bob Haggard Memorial Scholarship.
