Judy Ann (Mathis) Ward

Judy Ann Mathis Ward age 75 of Waynesboro was born February 17, 1948 in Waynesboro, TN to the late Ed and Eva Lucille Lacher Mathis. She was united in marriage to Dan Nealon Ward on December 23, 1965. Mr. Ward preceded her in death on August 25, 2016. Mrs. Ward worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and in Housekeeping at Wayne County Nursing Home and Boyd Cottages. Mrs. Ward passed from this life on Monday, March 27, 2023 at her home in Waynesboro, TN.

Survivors include her son Shane Ward of Waynesboro, TN and her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews of whom she was so very proud.

In addition to her parents and husband of 50 years, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Earl “Tubby” Mathis and one sister, Helen Dooley.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM at Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Cary Crews officiating.
