Judy Mae (Boyd) Skelton

Mrs. Judy Mae Boyd Skelton was born March 15, 1947 in Waynesboro, TN to her parents the late Mr. Douglas Eugene "Doc" Boyd and Mrs. Dorothy Ellen Woods Boyd. She spent her childhood in Wayne County and would later meet and marry her husband Mr. Barney Cleveland Skelton Jr.  Mrs. Skelton spent her adult life working in the garment industry and was of the Church of God faith, attending the Clifton Church of God for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching television.  Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Judy Mae Boyd Skelton passed from this life on April 30, 2025 at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN making her stay on this earth some 78 years, one month and 15 days. 

She is survived by her children Shebra Jones and husband Phillip of Waynesboro, TN, Delorie Juhasz and husband Ray of Ocala, Fl, Danley Skelton of Waynesboro, TN and Delvolon Skelton of Smithville, TN; siblings Lisa Jones of Waynesboro, TN, Rita Staggs of Savannah, TN and Stanley Boyd and wife Francis of Linden, TN12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandchildren Anna R. Potts and Matthew Dixon; siblings Harville Eugene Boyd, Joyce Frazier and Douglas M. Boyd

Funeral Services will be held Friday May 2, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Bates-Love Funeral and Creational chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow immediately after chapel services at the Whitehead Skelton Cemetery.

Visitation with the Skelton family will begin Friday May 02, 2025 from 1200 noon till 3:00 pm service time at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC in Waynesboro, TN.
