Jody White Swinea

Jody White Swinea age 42 of Waynesboro, TN passed away unexpectedly Monday March 4,2024 in Columbia TN. Jody was born, August 19,1981 in West Monroe, LA to Raye B Sr..  and Penny Byrd Swinea He and his family moved to Waynesboro, TN in 1991.

Jody graduated from Wayne County High School in 1999 and later attended University of Tennessee in Martin. He would later serve his country by joining and serving for a short time in  the United States Marine Corps until he was honorably discharged. He was presently employed by DCI of Memphis, TN. 

He is survived by his mother Penny Byrd Swinea of Waynesboro, TN; brothers Raye B. Swinea Jr. of Pahrump, NV, Will Swinea of Waynesboro, TN; aunt Donna Byrd Bucko of Monroe, LA; nephew Samuel Swinea of Waynesboro as well as numerous loving cousins and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Services will be held on Sunday March 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Jesse Honn officiating at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC in Waynesboro, TN

Visitation will be held Sunday March 10,2024 on Sunday from 12:00 noon till 2:00 pm service time at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC 

Burial will conclude immediately after the service at the White Family Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation is honored to assist the family.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Robert Anderson, Austin Kephart, Garrett Moore, Scott McLaughlin, Will Swinea, Raye Bruce Swinea Jr. and Josh Swinea
