Mr. Jerry “Petey” Warren was born in Savannah, TN on December 27, 1956 to his father the late Mr. Guy Warren and his mother Mrs. Hazel Burgess Warren. Petey spent his childhood surrounded by the beauties of Cliftons natural landscape, developing a deep passion for hunting and fishing, hobbies that he would hold dear throughout his lifetime. During his formative years, he attended Frank Hughes School in Clifton, TN eventually graduating high school with the class of 1975. He would meet and marry his wife Mrs. Teresa Adams Warren on January 5, 1981 and the two would make Clifton their forever home, raising their children and setting roots in Clifton. Throughout his adult life he worked in several different capacities such as highway construction, t-shirt embossing, and flea market retailing, an occupation he deeply enjoyed as he loved meeting and talking with the people he would encounter during his business transactions. He was community minded man as he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Clifton Community Church formerly known as the Riverside Methodist Church in Clifton. His life and business required him to travel but his heart always belonged to the town and especially the people of his hometown which he deeply loved. In his leisure time, he could be found entertaining his family and friends with his musical talents, playing gospel and country songs on his guitar. However, he held no other moments closest to his heart than the moments he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
