Jerry Brown Obituary

Mr. Jerry Martin Brown was born September 22, 1945 in Morgan County, AL to his parents Mr. Lewis Martin Brown and Mrs. Ossie Veola Murphy Brown Taylor. Mr. Brown spent his childhood in Morgan County Ala. Until his family relocated to Hardin County TN while still in his developmental years. He would develop a love for the outdoors enjoying the beautiful nature of the area. In his young adult years, he would bravely serve his country by joining the United States Army serving a tour of duty in Vietnam. He would meet and marry his wife Shirley Mae Murphy Brown in June of 1966 and the two made Olive Hill their forever home, raising their son and setting deep roots in Hardin County. Being a hard worker, he worked for many years as a sheet metal worker, and proudly served in the Army National Guard until his retirement. Mr. Brown was also community minded as he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Clifton,TN. Being spiritually minded he attended the Olive Hill Baptist Church and visited the Crossroads Union Church in Savannah and was raised in the Baptist faith. In his leisure time he could be found watching Alabama Football, and his favorite classic westerns. However, he held no other time closest to his heart than the moments he spent with his family especially his grand children and great grandchildren.
