Jason Atha Russell

Jason Atha Wayne Russell was born in Sheffield, AL  January  1, 1975 to his father the late Atha Wayne Russell and his mother Mrs. Jenny Russell who currently resides in Cypress Inn, TN. Mr. Russell was a multi-talented artist who displayed his passion for his art through writing poetry, short stories, also musically (playing the guitar and trumpet), and worked along side some of Hollywood’s brightest in the movie industry.  He worked on several movies in his career and wrote short stories and novels  and loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was certainly a joy to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. Jason quietly and peacefully departed this world on September 8, 2023, at his home in the Cypress Inn community in Wayne County, TN.

In addition to his mother Jenny Strickland Russell of Cypress Inn, TN, He is survived by his children Isabella Russell of New Orleans, LA and Sophia Russell of Sorrento, LA; sisters Tonya Holly and husband Kelvin, Gina Lemmond, both of Florence, AL; Tammy Russell and husband Richard of Lincolnton, NC; brother Tony Russell of Counce, TN as well as many beloved nephews, and  nieces, great- nephews and nieces and many friends

In addition to his father Atha Wayne Russell  he is preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Strickland and Mr. and Mrs.  A.C. Russell

Celebration of Life Services  will be held Saturday September 30,2023 at Cypress Moon Studios  1000 Alabama Avenue, Sheffield Alabama 35660.
