Frances Mae Stricklin Staggs was born May 19, 1955, in Wayne County TN, to the late Billy Stricklin and Jewel Melson Stricklin. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Edward "Caveman" Staggs April 17, 1976, and remained married till his passing in 2018. She was a homemaker, worked as a seamstress for Angelica Manufacturing in Waynesboro, and employed at the local Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed working with children as she volunteered as a Foster Grandparent at Wayne County Elementary School in Waynesboro, TN. She was a member of the 48 Creek Freewill Baptist Church and loved all her church family very much. Ms. Frances passed from this life on February 13, 2024, at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia surrounded by family making her stay upon this earth 68 years, 8 months and 26 days
She is survived by her daughter Lindsey Hughes and companion Jordan Cook; son Steve Moore and wife Kristy all of Waynesboro; sister Billie Ann Robbins of Collinwood; grandchildren Tanner Casen, Jaxen Hughes, Erica Pigg and husband Cody and Nathan Moore and wife Nina all of Waynesboro; great-grandchildren Abigal, Creed and Colt Pigg, Bo and Willow Moore; several nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by sister Margaret Wiley, infant siblings Bobby, Lisa and Larry Stricklin, nephew Jason Robbins and niece Marcia Wiley
Services will be held Friday February 16, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC chapel with Tim Hanback and Johnny Burns officiating burial will follow in the 48 Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday February 15 from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm and again on Friday from 8:00 am till 3:00 pm service time at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Nathan Moore, Lucas Robbins, Chris Robbins, Timmy Robbins, Tyler "Chevy" Melson and Scott Brewer
Honorable Pallbearers serving will be Cody Pigg and Jordon Cook.
