Elizabeth Mae (Daniel) Melson

Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Daniel Melson was born April 19, 1953 in Florence, AL to the late Eugene and Wilma Jackson Daniel. She was united in marriage to Joe Melson on December 19, 1970. She will be remembered as a faithful member of Butler Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandkids and entire family, going to Church, riding around on Sunday afternoons with her husband, going for walks and teaching Sunday School at Butler Grove. Mrs. Melson departed this life on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation making her stay in this life 70 years, 2 months and 12 days.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Joe Melson of Iron City, TN; three daughters, Jennie Reaves of Iron City, TN; Lori Melson of Florence, AL; Terrah Hinton and husband Shannon of Iron City, TN; two sisters, Wanda Daniel of Florence, AL and Myra Daniel and husband Junior of Cypress Inn, TN; six grandchildren, Caleigh Brewer and husband Taylor; Sydney Reaves; Carter Hinton; Jordan Earnest; Ava-Grace Reaves; Lyv Tyler Hinton; two great-grandchildren Mase and Miller Brewer

In Addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Reaves.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Butler Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday July 3, 2023 with Brant Sanders officiating at Butler Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
