Dudley St. Patrick Houston

Mr. Dudley St. Patrick Houston was born in St. Ann, Jamaica on July 30, 1970 to his father Mr. Dudley Houston and his late mother Gerolyn Gooden Leon. To know Dudley was to love him. He was a friendly, kindhearted and giving person. He considered everyone as his brother or sister.  Dudley was a studious man as he attained several licenses and advanced certificates from Panama, Korea and Trinidad in the field of auto mechanics. He was a very hard worker providing for his family in his field of occupation in which he worked for many years. Dudley would marry the love of his life Ms. Selma Thompson on June 7, 2012. Together, they enjoyed traveling and participating in various missionary trips.  He loved spending time in God’s creation as he loved vacationing at the beach as well gardening, bicycling and cherished frequent trips to the local parks.  He was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he loved worshiping with his beloved church family. Mr. Dudley Houston passed from this life on October 10, 2024, in Savannah, TN making his stay on this earth some 54 years, 2 months and 11 days.  

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Selma Houston of Savannah, TN; daughter Danielle Houston of NY; father Dudley Houston of Jamaica; aunt Novalyn Williams- Lino of GA; step-mother Ms. Gloria Houston of Jamaica; siblings Elroy Houston of PA, Chester Leon of GA, Anthony Leon of Jamaica, Steve Leon of GA, and Felona Jessica Williams of GA; step-sister Lorraine Houston of Jamaica, Maureen Richards and husband Romeo of Jamaica; nieces and nephews Andrea Leon, Mellisa Leon, Tiffany Leon, Chelsea Leon, Angel Leon, Janelle Leon, Devale Burnette, Demario Leon, Carmelo Leon and Zavion Leon; step- nephews Ramon Richards and Romaine Richards; and a plethora of family, friends and well-wishers.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gerolyn Leon Gooden; stepfather Chester George Leon; brother Duane Leon; sister Nicole Leon

Viewing will be held on Wednesday October 23rd from 4:00 till 5:30 pm, and Wake will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Savannah Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Additional services will be held in Georgia with the burial service on October 31, 2024 at the Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Lithonia, GA.
