Douglas Morris Folger

Douglas Morris Folger was born May 26, 1954 in Wayne County Tennessee to the late Morris and Iva Lilica Thompson Folger. He was united in marriage to the former Teresa Reatherford on November 24, 1977. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his real passion came in running his beagle dogs and spending time with his family. Mr. Folger departed this life on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his home.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Teresa Folger of Waynesboro, TN; daughter Tammy Tipps of Waynesboro, TN; daughter of the heart, Melinda Dugger (Randle) of Clifton, TN; four sisters, Barbara Davis (Charles) of Chapel Hill, TN; Beverly Prince (Dwight); Belinda Graham (Jimmy) both of Waynesboro, TN; Peggy O’Guin (Bob) of Florida. One granddaughter, Kileyan Tipps; two grandchildren of the heart, Ragan Dugger and Braden Coker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Shaun Paul Folger and two brothers, David Folger and Dennis Folger.

Visitation with the Folger family will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM all at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2024 with Bryan Reatherford and Darrell Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.
