Donna Gail (McCurry) Rich

Donna Gail McCurry Rich was born June 10, 1958 in Detroit, MI to the union of the late Lee Edward and Nannie Dell Hall McCurry. She attended tailor school while in Michigan, leading to her building a career as a seamstress. Deciding to further her education, she obtained an Associates Degree in Business from North West Shoals Community College. She was united in marriage to David Rich on March 27, 1981. Mr. Rich preceded her in death on August 13, 2010. She will be fondly remembered for her love to bake cakes, going to thrift shops, and to travel. While traveling, she especially enjoyed going to amusement parks and riding all the rides. Mrs. Rich departed this life on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Columbia, TN making her stay in this life some 66 years, 1 month, and 6 days.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Amy Calvi and husband Michael of Bentonville, AR; Ashley Dugger and husband Michael of Waynesboro, TN; her siblings, Eddie McCurry of Cypress Inn, TN; Debbie Donathan of York, SC; Joyce Sally of Florence, AL; Karen Krieger and husband Howard of Florence, AL; Gary McCurry and wife Debbie of White, GA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Sophie Calvi, Cayleb Dugger, and Caynan Dugger

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Michael McCurry

Visitation with the Rich family will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM all at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Earl Rich and Stan Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
