We regretfully announce the passing of David “Paul” Skaggs, 76, of Collinwood, Tenneseee. He passed surrounded by his family on March 20, 2023.
He spent most of his life working at Hassell and Hughes and Hughes Hardwood, specializing in both lumber grading and management, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #702 in Collinwood.
He married Jane Geibel Skaggs on January 29, 1966, and had three children, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Hudson, his father, JC Skaggs, and his infant brother, Dennis Skaggs.
Paul is survived by his wife, Jane Geibel Skaggs, his children David Skaggs(Bandi), Eddy Skaggs(Emily) and Cheryl Luker(Jake), his grandchildren, Kayla Skaggs(Blake), Samantha Skaggs, Cassidy Clayton(Tyler), Kaycee and Kandace Luker, his great grandchildren, Carson Skaggs and Caroline Clayton, and his siblings, Kathy Carver and Jimmy Skaggs(Gloria). His celebration of life will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Sunday, March 26, 2023 beginning at 4:00 PM with David Miller and Ricky Nelson officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church.
