Mr. Danny Dale Mathis was born on December 09, 1954, in Hohenwald, TN at the Boyce clinic to the late William J. and Ellen Mae Hendrix Mathis. He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ and enjoyed his church family. Mr. Danny would marry twice in his life, the first to Pebble Hunt and the second to Peggy Smith. He was the youngest of three boys, and he always cherished his family during his childhood and in his adult years. He was a brick and block mason and possessed a great talent, having built many homes and structures in his area. He was a passionate softball player, a sport he would carry with him into his forties. His last tournament he played in was while he was in his forties winning the game 25 to 24 and won MVP for being the oldest player on the field. Mr. Mathis enjoyed watching sports, particularly watching the "TN Vols", eating strawberry ice cream, and relaxing with his best "furry friend" "Baby", his little dog he spent many hours with. There is no mistake Mr. Danny Mathis was one of a kind and both his children are proud to have been raised by him and share his name and his legacy. When describing Mr. Mathis only three phrases seem to fill the position “the Man’, the “Myth”, the “Legend”.
Mr. Mathis departed this life and headed to the next journey, on June 01, 2024, at the Maury Regional Medical Center at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 20 days.
