Cyndy Pollock Pope was born August 23, 1953 in Waynesboro, TN to the late William Ray and Emma Jean Skelton Pollock. She was united in marriage to Dwight Pope on April 11, 1987. Together they shared 38 wonderful years. Mrs. Pope worked in several different capacities with the EMS service, from dispatcher to medical billing. She loved to be out in nature, often spending her time looking for arrowheads and fishing. However, her greatest joy without a doubt was her grandchildren. Anytime they were around, she could be found doing anything they were doing. She was a member of the Forty-Eight Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Waynesboro. Mrs. Cyndy departed this life on Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Waynesboro, TN making her stay in this life some 71 years, 7 months, and 22 days.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Pope; one daughter, Julie Odle and husband Tracy; one son Stan Pope and wife Melanie all of Waynesboro, TN; one brother, Kerry Pollock and wife Beverly of Smyrna, TN; two sisters, Regina Littrell and husband Dale of Loretto, TN; Robin Reaves and husband Kenny of Waynesboro, TN; She is also survived by four grandchildren, Henlee Odle, Izzy Pope, Evan Pope and Ian Pope.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcy Ray.
Visitation with the Pope family will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Tim Hanback and Greg Eaton officiating. Interment will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery.
