Brenda Alice (Gist) Pulley

Mrs. Brenda Alice Gist Pulley was born March 09, 1948, to the late Arthur Gist and Josephine Hollman Gist in Panama City, FL. Mrs. Pulley, after competing high school, later married the now late Mr. Herbert “Hub” Pulley in 1974 and they would remain married until his death on January 31, 1995. She was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints and loved all her church family, worked for many years as a security guard in the Corrections field and loved working with people and especially enjoyed the time she would later spend working around children while employed with the school system in the janitorial services field. Mrs. Pulley, when not working, would spend her time studying her family’s genealogy, reading, and she enjoyed music having once traveled to Birmingham, AL to see the ‘Rolling Stones’ in concert, which she would always remember fondly. Mrs.  Brenda Pulley passed from this life at the Southern TN Regional Health System Medical Center in Lawrenceburg, TN May 13, 2024 making her stay on this earth some 76 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

She is survived by her son Johnaton Pulley and longtime significant other Melissa Saxon both of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughter Kaye Wiley and husband Mark of Florence, AL; brother Roger Gist of Defuniak Springs, FL.; grandchildren Addison, William and Zachery Stults and wife Becky, Makaela Gobbell, Charlee Pulley with Fiancé Maverick, Ty Pulley, Timothy Haddock, Cody Steele, J.R. and Layla Murks and Adam Fischer; several great- grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her daughter Lee Ann Haddock and her brother Stanley Gist.
