Barbara Pearline Kelley Smith Gambrell was born May 29, 1942 in Collinwood, TN to the union of the late Raymond and Christine Kelley. She was united in marriage to C.F. Gambrell on March 05, 1982. Mrs. Gambrell will be lovingly remembered for her love of gardening, butterflies, sewing, and taking care of babies. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren fondly remember the help she gave with all the babies. She had a deep love for singing and reading her bible. Mrs. Gambrell was of the Church of God faith. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 making her stay in this life 81 years, 6 months, and 28 days.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Lynn Brewer of Lawrenceburg, TN; Barbara Diane Smith of Waynesboro, TN; Dana Vanessa Davis of Hampshire, TN; one brother, Jerry Kelley (Audrey) of Loretto, TN; 11 grandchildren, Tabitha Lynn Duffano (Eric), Jessica Dawn Harris (Rod), Natasha Ann Durham (Chris), Kristen Nicole Kellman (Ivan), Joshua Blake Conley (Alison), Amelia Brooke Davis (Zach Harper), Raymond Earl Jackson (Jessica), Rebecca Layne Bowling (Matthew), Ruben Elliot Jackson (Hollie), Riley Evan Jackson (Nicole), Jonathan Adam Carroll (Sandy). She is also surivived by 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.F. Gambrell, a daughter, Melba Darlene Carroll, a brother, Paul Kelley and two infant grandchildren, Jeremy and Amanda Carroll.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 beginning at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Cemetery.
There will be no visitation with the Gambrell family
