Audry Faye Holt

Audry Faye Holt was born June 02, 1942 in the Cypress Inn area of Wayne County to the late Joseph Thomas and Mary Viola Banks Sherrill. She worked as a sewing machine operator and loved to sew. She loved to attend gospel singings and was seen at most church services around the area. Mrs. Holt will be remembered as a very outgoing person. She was united in marriage to Raymond Holt on December 19, 2010. Mrs. Holt departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2023 making her stay in this life 81 years 6 months and 9 days.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Raymond Holt; a daughter, Kathryn Staggs; two step children, Gina Lawson (Johnny); Tim Holt (Tammy) all of Iron City, TN; five grandchildren, Junior Staggs (Katie) of Puryear, TN; Matthew Staggs (Alex) of Oakland Park, FL; Jessica Hasting (Jarred) of Prospect, TN; Bubba Staggs (Sam) of Iron City, TN; Ryan McCurry (Allie) of Florence, AL; 6 step grandchildren, Joey Lawson (Terra) of Iron City, TN; Critter Lawson of Florence, AL; Lisa Lawson (Bryan) of Tuscumbia, AL; Tyler Holt of Florence, AL; Jordan Cook of Iron City, TN; Journey Holt of Florida. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren and 5 step great-great grandchildren with one more on the way.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Rickey McCurry; a son-in-law, James Staggs, three brothers, Carvel Sherrill, Junior Sherrill, Joel Sherrill; three sisters, Lesbie Ayers, Dean Mitchell, and Sue Dixon.

Visitation with the Holt family will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church with Greg Eaton, Keith Montgomery, and Junior Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery.
